So much has already been said about Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo getting himself ejected during Wednesday’s 120-118 win over the Detroit Pistons.
Milwaukee lost their superstar early in the second half, and they have to thank the likes of Damian Lillard for not allowing this game to turn into what could have been an absolute disaster.
Stephen A. Smith Reacts to Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Ejection

You just know that ESPN anchor Stephen A. Smith would have a thing or two to say about this latest NBA controversy. A lot of fans aren’t happy about the fact that the refs were (supposedly) a bit too trigger-happy with their whistle on Wednesday night. As it turns out, Stephen A is on the same boat:
“I’mma call the league office today. Who the hell is paying to see the referee?” Smith said on Thursday’s episode of First Take. “That is not a reason to eject Giannis Antetokounmpo from a game. That is ridiculous. That is a disservice to the fans, paying customers coming to see them play. That is ridiculous.”
.@stephenasmith says Giannis getting ejected was RIDICULOUS 👀

To be fair, Smith has a point. More than a few fans paid good money to see Giannis play on Wednesday, and that could very well be the only time they see the former back-to-back MVP play live in their entire life. Unfortunately for these supporters, they were robbed of the opportunity to see Antetokounmpo at his best in what turned out to be a close game.
Then again, you can’t really deny that rules are rules. The league has clamped down on taunting over the past few years, and it’s hard to argue that Antetokounmpo did not taunt Pistons big man Isaiah Stweart after putting the latter on a vicious poster.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was ejected for a second technical foul for taunting after he dunked on Isaiah Stewart.

Either way, that’s all water under the bridge now.
