The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night 120-118, but the NBA refs had themselves a night when they decided to eject Giannis Antetokounmpo from the basketball game in the third quarter.
He was ejected for a second technical foul for taunting after he dunked on Isaiah Stewart. When Antetokounmpo left the game in the third quarter, he had 15 points, nine rebounds, and five assists before he was ejected from the contest.
Milwaukee had a 73-60 lead in the third quarter over Detroit before he was ejected from the game. The Pistons went on a run when he was ejected from the game before the Bucks survived in the fourth quarter to win the game.
There were a ton of people who were unhappy with the Giannis Antetokounmpo ejection. Wednesday night felt like an NBA referee’s show more than anything else.
Milwaukee Bucks Fans and Other Fans Across the Basketball Platform Were Not Happy With the NBA Refs Due to the Giannis Antetokounmpo Ejection
There are times when the NBA refs decide to make the game about themselves rather than the players. There was no need to eject Giannis Antetokounmpo for what he did on Wednesday night. It wasn’t anything egregious, and it wasn’t deserving of an ejection. People who pay for the tickets come to watch the players and not the NBA refs.
This is what some of the fans had to say on Twitter about the Giannis Antetokounmpo ejection:
Yo @NBA better come get your Zebras in Milwaukee. Their heads are stuck up their ass

Refs tonight need to be investigated
This is a complete clown show of an officiated NBA game https://t.co/0Fw50P2MGI

This was Giannis’ 2nd technical. He was ejected after this poster. NBA refs are so soft. Dame Time now. #FearTheDeer #NBA #NBAx

This isn’t the first time that the refs have made a show about themselves. Giannis Antetokounmpo did not deserve to be ejected from the game on Wednesday night. The Milwaukee Bucks were able to pull out the win because Damian Lillard took over the game after the fact and scored 34 points.
This is one of the reasons why the Bucks traded for him in situations like this, but it should have never happened in the first place. The NBA refs should never make it about themselves, and the Giannis Antetokounmpo ejection was inexcusable.
