It no longer comes as a surprise whenever Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo makes history. The former back-to-back MVP has made it a bit of a habit to etch his name in the history books throughout what has been a decorated career.
On Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers, Giannis did it again.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Climbs NBA All-Time Scoring List
Entering Wednesday’s highly-anticipated contest, Antetokounmpo had 16,953 points to his name. Antetokounmos was just seven points behind Hall of Fame point guard Bob Cousy, who amassed a grand total of 16,960 points throughout his 14-year NBA career.
Given that Giannis was just seven points behind the Boston Celtics icon, you just knew that he was going to surpass Cousy on the all-time scoring list on Wednesday night.
Antetkounmpo’s moment came in the first quarter against Indiana when he scored his eighth point of the ballgame. What makes this such a significant achievement is the fact that the Bucks talisman has now cracked the Top 100 for the most points in NBA history:

There’s going to be a lot more where that came from for Antetokounmpo. This man still has a long way to go before he calls it a career, and you can be sure that he’s going to continue to climb the all-time scoring list in the years to come.
