There was very little doubt surrounding Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s availability for Wednesday night’s clash against the Cleveland Cavaliers. This was the case after the former back-to-back MVP was omitted from the injury report leading to the game.
In a sudden turn of events, however, the Bucks talisman has now been ruled out a couple of hours before tip-off.
Milwaukee Bucks Rule Out Giannis Antetokounmpo Vs. Cavs
Giannis was a very late addition to the injury report, and he will now be forced to sit out Wednesday’s game in Cleveland. This report comes via Bucks beat reporter Eric Nehm of The Athletic:
Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as OUT on the latest injury report with a right shoulder contusion. https://t.co/AQNhjUU69p

This is not a new injury for Antetokounmpo. He came into Sunday’s game against the Sacramento Kings with a questionable tag because of this same shoulder problem.
Giannis, however, was able to play through the injury, and he looked unbothered by the shoulder issue throughout the game.
It now appears that the injury is more serious than initially anticipated with the former back-to-back MVP being forced to miss at least one game because of the same.
Giannis’ next chance to play will be on Saturday against the Detroit Pistons.
