Wednesday night’s much-awaited showdown between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers has not been short of action. However, one of the biggest highlights of the game came early on with Giannis Antetokounmpo being assessed with a technical foul after body-checking Tyrese Haliburton.
Unsurprisingly, the contentious incident has NBA Twitter buzzing hard.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Gets Into it With Tyrese Haliburton
Haliburton started off the ruckus with an emphatic poster slam on Bucks forward MarJon Beauchamp. The Pacers superstar was celebrating his throwdown before he got thrown down to the floor by Giannis. Antetokounmpo extended his forearm as he crossed paths with Haliburton, which saw the Indiana All-Star hit the deck:

The play is currently under review for a Flagrant foul.

Antetokounmpo apologized to Haliburton and the incident didn’t escalate from there. Except, of course, for the technical foul on Giannis.
Giannis Called Out on Twitter
A lot of NBA fans weren’t too happy with Antetokounmpo’s antics, and they aired their frustration in the best way they know how — through the mean streets of Twitter:

The naysayers have been waiting for a moment like this to go off on the Bucks talisman. They got their wish, and the haters have been loud and proud.
To be fair, though, it’s not as if Antetokounmpo is completely innocent in all this.
