Malik Beasley broke his silence on Collin Sexton’s elbow, landing on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s face during a recent game between the Milwaukee Bucks and Utah Jazz.

In that contest, the Bucks found themselves on the losing end against Utah with a score of 123-108. The Greek Freak showed off by dropping 33 points on 73 percent shooting from the field, seven rebounds, and 13 assists in almost 40 minutes on the court. Bobby Portis added 27 points and seven rebounds for Milwaukee.

On the other side, Lauri Markkanen led the Jazz with 21 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Meanwhile, Sexton contributed 19 points in 25 minutes on the court.

Right before the first half ended, Sexton landed a nasty elbow on Antetokounmpo’s face while driving to the basket. With the two-time MVP down on the floor, the Jazz guard taunted him by flashing his elbow.

This prompted Beasley to charge Sexton, leading players from both teams to separate the two before a full-fledged scuffle could take place.

After the game, Beasley spoke to the media and gave his side on the matter. In an article posted by the Journal Sentinel and tweeted by Jim Owczarski:

“I saw him stare down my teammate and give him a mean look and I believe he hit him in the face, I don’t know, but I don’t play that,” Beasley said. “I got my teammate’s back and I’ll take the tech. (Sexton) is my boy. It wasn’t like trying to hurt him or anything just sending a message that it’s not as sweet over here.”

Unfortunately, the Bucks lost to Utah, thanks to a fourth-quarter defensive meltdown. With this loss, Rivers now has a 1-3 record for Milwaukee as its head coach. Nevertheless, Beasley’s action is indicative of who he is as a teammate, no matter how the game ended for his team.
