The Milwaukee Bucks gave up a big lead again on Sunday night en route to losing their third out of four games under the watch of new head coach Doc Rivers. The Bucks entered the fourth quarter with a seemingly comfortable 12-point lead against the Utah Jazz, only for the home team to turn the game around in the final frame.
The Jazz hit the Bucks with a haymaker in the form of a blistering 40-13 fourth quarter en route to a stunning 123-108 victory.
Did Giannis Antetokounmpo Walk Out on Milwaukee Bucks?
Milwaukee ended up wasting another massive effort by two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. The eight-time All-Star dropped a 33-point, 13-assist double-double with seven rebounds and a block, which ultimately, was all for nothing.
An interesting incident went down in the dying seconds of what turned out to be a very disappointing loss for the Bucks. With 35 seconds still remaining, Antetokounmpo decided that he had seen enough. He headed straight to the locker room after being subbed out:
It’s not uncommon for players to leave the game when it’s already out of hand. However, as you may have heard from the commentator in the video above, it appears that Antetokounmpo stormed off the court leaving just four Bucks players in the game.
Rookie Chris Livingston was ready to check in at that point, but for a few seconds, the Bucks were left with just four active players on the floor after Giannis’ exit.
This unexpected turn of events has caused quite a stir on social media. An intriguing post by NBA Latest on Facebook has now gone completely viral after it suggested that Giannis “ignored Doc Rivers’ substitution” as he left the floor.
You can see in the comments section of the post that the fans have mixed feelings about all this. Some believe that this is much ado about nothing, while others feel that there’s already trouble in paradise so early on in Rivers’ Bucks tenure.
