Emotions were running high on Wednesday night as the Milwaukee Bucks basically got their behinds whopped by the Boston Celtics in this highly-anticipated East matchup. The game ended with a final score of 119-116 in favor of Boston, but this is a poor reflection of how dominant the Celtics were in this wire-to-wire victory.
Milwaukee Bucks Coach Had Sideline Spat With Giannis Antetokounmpo
At one point in the game, Bucks talisman Giannis Antetokounmpo was seen heading to the scorer’s table after being subbed out. The former back-to-back MVP then went on to have a rather heated discussion with his coach on the sideline:

The incident went down in the middle of the third quarter with the Celtics up big. Griffin yanked Giannis from the game to give him some rest, which appears to be a decision that Antetokounmpo did not agree with.
Adrian Griffin Sheds Light on Conversation
After the game, Griffin himself spoke out about the sideline incident. As some may have suspected, Antetokounmpo did not appreciate being taken out of the game, and he just made his feelings known to his coach:
“He wanted to stay in, I wanted to give him a breather, that’s all it was,” Griffin said, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “Then I told him to stay at the table for one possession and he got right back out there.”
The argument didn’t escalate, and it appears that Giannis was willing to accept Griffin’s explanation.
