The Milwaukee Bucks got embarrassed again on Thursday. Just two days after getting humiliated in a 123-97 loss to a Jimmy Butler-less Miami Heat, the Bucks put up another head-scratching performance, as they lost on Thursday to the Memphis Grizzlies, who did not have Ja Morant, Marcus Smart, and even Jaren Jackson Jr, to the tune of a 113-110 score on the road.
Rivers appeared just as dumbfounded as the fans over his team’s struggles, as he did not hold back in criticizing his team following the Grizzlies game.
“First play of the game, we gamble for the 50th time in the corner. Guy drives, we have to help, leads to a 3. On our set, two guys forget what we’re running. Then we missed a shot and nobody gets back. That’s how we start out the third quarter. That tells you all you need to know about where our heads were,” Rivers said.
Rivers then dropped an eye-opening takeaway:
“We had some guys here, we had some guys in Cabo.”
Doc Rivers just called out his Milwaukee Bucks players for their effort in their LOSS vs. Memphis:
“We had some guys here, some in Cabo (Mexico).”

The Milwaukee Bucks Have A Long Break Ahead To Get It Together
The Milwaukee Bucks will get a long rest with the All-Star break ahead, but they can’t go full-Cabo mode because they know that they aren’t in a position to party. Although they are 35-21, their current form doesn’t reflect that otherwise solid record. Losing to teams like the undermanned Heat and the lottery-bound Grizzlies are starting to become a real problem rather than just a simple case of anomaly.
The Bucks will look to get back on track on Feb. 23 in a tough test right out of the gate from the break, as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road.
