Last week against the Indiana Pacers, Damian Lillard made history by knocking down the fifth-most career 3-pointers in league history, surpassing former Milwaukee Bucks sharpshooter Kyle Korver.
Despite his incredible achievement, however, Dame did not take home the game ball from their win against the Pacers. There was a full-blown controversy over that ball, and Lillard didn’t bother involving himself in the heated dispute.
Well, Lillard has made history again on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs and unless anything crazy happens (again), he should be going home with the game ball tonight.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard Scores 20,000 Career Points
In the first quarter of Tuesday’s bout against a Victor Wembanyama-less Spurs side, Lillard scored his sixth and seventh points of the game. This was all he needed to eclipse the 20,000-point mark in his career, which is an undeniably iconic achievement for the seven-time All-Star.
Here’s Lillard’s historic moment, which came at the 8:06 mark of the opening quarter:

Lillard had no intention of wasting any time getting the record out of the way.
Unless Giannis beats his own career-high mark of 64 points against the Spurs or if another rookie scores his first NBA basket, then it’s going to be safe to assume that Lillard is going to be taking home Tuesday night’s game ball. This time around, you can be sure that the Bucks are going to make sure that this is the case.
