Even Milwaukee Bucks superstar Damian Lillard himself would admit that he’s tremendously blessed to have the opportunity to play alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo. I mean, Giannis is clearly delighted to have Dame on his team, but the truth of the matter is that it’s Lillard who moved to Milwaukee, and not the other way around.
Only a select few can proudly say that they’ve had the priviledge of being on the same team with a generational talent in Giannis Antetokounmpo. For Lillard, having this chance also means that it’s his best shot at winning his first-ever career championship.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard Reveals Dream Teammate
Dame has said in the past that if there was one active player he would like to play with, it woul be Giannis. The former Portland Trail Blazers cornerstone superstar got his wish after his summer blockbuster move to the Bucks.
However, according to Lillard, the one other player that he would have also relished getting the chance to play with is the great Shaquille O’Neal. Dame made this revelation in a recent interview with Bally Sports Wisconsin (around the 1:53 mark):

Wouldn’t that have been amazing?
There’s no doubt that Shaq is one of, if not the most dominant big man this game has ever seen. When you think about the superstars O’Neal was been paired with during his time, the first names that come to mind are Anfernee Hardaway, Kobe Bryant, and Dwyane Wade. Shaq did play with Steve Nash for a couple of seasons, but this was already in the latter end of O’Neal’s career.
Just imagine prime Shaq playing with an elite point guard. What a combination he would have formed with Dame Lillard had they crossed paths. That would have been out of this world, for sure.
