Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard made all sorts of headlines on Sunday after his heroic performance against the Phoenix Suns. The eight-time All-Star went off for 31 points and 16 assists as he led a Giannis Antetokounmpo-less side to a 140-129 victory over the three-headed monster of the Suns.
Dame’s time in the spotlight was relatively short-lived, though, with Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks stealing the limelight with his epic game-winner against the Denver Nuggets. Lillard himself just had to react to Irving’s mind-blowing finish, which prompted some GOAT-level praise from the Bucks superstar.

The highly-anticipated matchup between the Mavs and the Nuggets did not disappoint. It required some clutch heroics from both sides as the game literally used up every single second of the 48 minutes to determine a winner.
In the end, it was Dallas who prevailed, thanks to a wild game-winning floater by Irving:
Not only did Kyrie use his off-hand to put that attempt up, but he also shot it over the outstretched arm of 6-foot-11 big man Nikola Jokic.
As far as game-winners go, this has to be up there with the best of them.
Lillard seems to agree with this notion. The eight-time All-Star could not help but sing Irving’s praises after Dame witnessed greatness unfold right before his eyes:
Kyrie the most skilled mf ever bra…

It’s hard to argue against that statement after seeing Irving go off like that against the defending champs. Lillard is no bum either, so for him to have such high praise for Irving here absolutely speaks volumes.
