The New York Knicks put up a valiant effort on Tuesday night but ultimately, they were just unable to hold off a full-on Milwaukee Bucks onslaught in the quarterfinals of the NBA In-Season Tournament.
The Bucks are now headed to Las Vegas after their 146-122 blowout win over the Knicks to battle the Indiana Pacers in the semifinals.
Damian Lillard Sends Message to Milwaukee Bucks
Tuesday’s victory was a key milestone for the Bucks and their quest to become the first-ever IST champions. However, being the veteran that he is, Milwaukee superstar Damian Lillard just had to send a stern reminder to his squad after their big win:
“We’re one step closer,” Lillard said. “I think that the more we keep that in our hearts and on our minds, we’re gonna play like it. Even though we closer, we can’t get too excited because we still got games to win. But we did make that trip. We headed to Vegas now. We gotta make sure we touch down and stay focused.”
"I'm happy that we're playing our best basketball going into it and we're excited to get to Vegas."

Dame Lillard is all about staying locked in. He will celebrate the victory, but he’s not going to let all the hype overcome their ultimate objective.
Up next for Milwaukee is a showdown against Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers in the semis. Another victory will set up a finals matchup against either the New Orleans Pelicans or the winner of Tuesday’s other quarterfinal bout between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns.
At this point, the Bucks are just two wins away from lifting their first piece of silverware this season.
