Damian Lillard finally made his highly-anticipated Milwaukee Bucks debut on Sunday. Dame sat out his new team’s first two preseason games after his blockbuster summer move, but he just wasn’t going to miss a primetime showdown against the Los Angeles Lakers.
It might have been nothing more than a non-bearing preseason game, but there’s no denying that this is a significant moment for the Bucks as they turn the page on a new chapter for their franchise.
Damian Lillard Scores First Bucket for Milwaukee Bucks
Lillard had to wait until the second quarter of Sunday’s contest to log his first official basket for the Bucks. Naturally, it just had to be a triple:

Dame pulled out his famed jab step against Lakers defender Max Christie, who to be fair, was all over the seven-time All-Star on this play. It did not matter.
The cherry on top of the cake is that Lillard’s first basket came from a Giannis Antetokounmpo pass. Milwaukee fans have been waiting quite a while to see their new superstar duo in action, and they finally got their wish on Sunday night. There’s going to be a lot more where that came from.

You just know that Bucks supporters were going to go crazy after seeing Lillard officially get off the mark for his new team. Well, not officially since this is the preseason, but the fans couldn’t care less:

This is the first of many triples Lillard will score for the Bucks. Milwaukee supporters better get used to this sight, and so does the rest of the NBA.
