Damian Lillard had some steam to blow off after his show-stopping performance for the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. The seven-time All-NBA guard exploded for a 31-point, 16-assist double-double to lead his team to an inspired 140-129 victory over an unforgiving Phoenix Suns side.
To cool off, Dame decided to take a quick trip to Chicago on Monday to support his former team, the Portland Trail Blazers.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard Makes Appearance in Bulls-Blazers Game
Lillard had a couple of days off in between games. Milwaukee’s next contest is on Wednesday against the mighty Boston Celtics at the TD Garden. Dame took the opportunity to watch his former teammates play.
The Chicago Bulls were hosting the Blazers at the TD Garden on Monday night, and Dame made the trip to the Windy City to support the team that he spent the first decade of his career with:

Chicago is a good 90-mile trip from Milwaukee, which means that Lillard would have traveled nearly 200 miles back and forth. Now if that isn’t a showing of unwavering loyalty to the Blazers, then I don’t know what is.
Unfortunately, Portland was not able to make it worth Lillard’s time and effort. The Bulls managed to escape with a victory in a tight encounter, 110-107.
Make no mistake about it, though. Right now, Lillard’s loyalty undoubtedly lies with the Bucks. He will do everything and anything he can to help Milwaukee achieve its ultimate goal this season, and that’s bringing the Larry O’Brien trophy back where it belongs.
