Milwaukee Bucks news: According to Charles Barkley, “there’s nobody in the NBA on the level with the Celtics right now.”
Looking at the big picture, it’s actually hard to argue against Sir Charles’ bold declaration here, considering how Boston still owns the best record in the entire NBA.
The timing of Barkley’s statement, however, could not have come at a worse time. This is because the Hall of Famer came out with his all-encompassing assertion right before the Bucks blew out the Celtics on Thursday night, 135-102.
Barkley Claims Celtics are Cream of the Crop
Thursday’s Eastern Conference showdown between the Bucks and the Celtics was, of course, a nationally televised game. NBA on TNT covered the contest, which meant that Barkley and the rest of the TNT crew were able to speak their minds right before the game tipped off.
For his part, here’s what the former NBA MVP had to say about Celtics’ status in the NBA at the moment:

To be fair, Sir Charles had every right to make this type of declaration based on what we’ve seen from the Celtics this season. Boston, however, looked like an entirely different squad on Thursday night at the hands of the Bucks.
By halftime, Milwaukee had already mounted a massive 37-point lead. There was no coming back for the Celtics from that point, with Coach Joe Mazzulla even opting not to play his starters throughout the second half.
As far as blowouts go, this is pretty much as bad as it gets. The game ended 135-102, with the Bucks evening out their season series against the C’s, 1-1.
NBA Fans Clown Charles Barkley After Milwaukee Bucks Blowout
Charles Barkley has had his fair share of contentious statements through the years and to be honest, the one he made here against the Celtics isn’t controversial at all.
Nevertheless, the trolls on Twitter still had to bring out their receipts as they took the opportunity to clown the Hall of Famer:
This is aging very badly atm 💀

@NBAonTNT as a Celtics fan please make chuck stop talking about my team 😅

Man, I’d hate to be a Celtics’ fan and hear this. Chuck proclaiming that you’re doing something right is the kiss of death!

Blaming tonight’s Celtics loss on Chuck. The Chuck curse

The Charles Barkley curse strikes again. Unfortunately for Celtics fans, it was them who had to feel Chuck’s wrath this time around.
