The Milwaukee Brewers have been without co-ace starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff for quite some time. He last took the mound on April 7, which was his second start of the season. Since then he has undergone two MRI’s with the results coming back “positive”, but the teams most recent timeline for return is estimated at the end of June.
Brandon Woodruff’s MRI results were “positive” all things considered, Matt Arnold just told us. If things progress as hoped, he is trending toward a return at the end of June.

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff is expected to return at the end of June.
Woodruff initially was thought to be going through some early season fatigue and inflammation, but his image findings have shown that he sustained a strain to one of the rotator cuff muscles called the subscapularis. The Brewers have had him shut down since discovering this.
To clarify the Brewers timeline, the expectation right now is that Brandon Woodruff is targeting a return to the big leagues by the end of June. Along with continuing to heal and rehab, he will have to go through a ramp up period before returning to the Brew Crew.
Once he returns Woodruff will have the benefit of not having a lot of mileage under his belt during the 2023 season. If fully healthy this could set him up for a big second half of the season in which the Brewers are expected to be making a play-off push.
