Milwaukee Brewers spring training is officially underway. Even though Valentines Day was the report date for pitchers and catchers, lots of other players presented for an early start or had already been there. At first glance two particular players appear the most muscled up from a season ago.
William Contreras and Andruw Monasterio have added muscle over the off-season.
According to Baseball Reference William Contreras has a weight of 216 lbs. It is unknown when or where that measurement came from, but regardless he was not a small player to start with. Per Todd Rosiak his teammate Andrew Monasterio also looked muscled up from last year in which Baseball Reference has him at 186 lbs.
Other quick hits: William Contreras and Andruw Monasterio both are noticeably muscled up from last season (and Contreras wasn’t a small guy to begin with). On the flip side, Wade Miley is actually looking to put on some weight as an offseason illness knocked him down quite a bit.

Only one Milwaukee Brewers player will be “taking it slow” to start spring training.
Todd Rosiak also reported that free agent signing Rhys Hoskins will be taking it slow to begin camp. He underwent ACL reconstruction after an injury during spring training last year. Outside of him Rosiak reported that everyone else is healthy with no restrictions.
The Brewers first spring training game is scheduled for Saturday, February 24 and their last on Tuesday, March 6. Eight games will be televised that includes two against Craig Counsell and the Chicago Cubs.
