The Milwaukee Brewers announced their round of spring training roster cuts in which five players in total were affected.  To be clear these players have not been cut from the organization.  Rather this is a normal part of spring training where players who are unlikely to be on the big league opening day roster get reassigned to minor league camp.

Five Milwaukee Brewers players were reassigned to minor league camp.

According to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the following players were involved in the Brewers first round of minor league reassignments: catcher Brian Navarreto, infielder Brock Wilken, pitcher Harold Chirino, pitcher Easton McGee, and pitcher Jacob Misiorowski.

Of this group Wilken is the only first round draft pick in which Milwaukee selected him 18th overall out of Wake Forest last year.  Misiorowski was a second round draft pick in 2022.  Both are promising prospects who could impact the big league team at some point in 2024.

Pat Murphy commented on Brock Wilken and Jacob Misiorowski’s chances of making their MLB debuts in 2024.

MLB Pipeline’s latest update has Jacob Misiorowski ranked as the Brewers third best prospect and Brock Wilken eighth.  Both 21 year old’s could make their MLB debuts in 2024, but Pat Murphy did not guarantee this or divulge as to when.

I think it’s a possibility for both of them.  I can’t tell you when, and it’s not a definite.  But it’s a possibility.

-Pat Murphy told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Which minor league level may Brock Wilken and Jacob Misiorowski start at?

Nothing has been formally announced yet, but at the end of the 2023 season both players had reached the Double-A level.  With the Biloxi Shuckers Wilken appeared in just six games whereas Misiorowski made five starts and covered 21 innings pitched.  Starting 2024 in Double-A is a real possibility for both players, but they might not spend much time there.

This year the Triple-A minor league season starts on March 29 and Double-A the week after that.  Opening day for the Brewers is March 28.  At some point this March minor league rosters will be announced.
