The Milwaukee Brewers selected Jacob Misiorowski in the second round of the 2022 MLB draft. Several scouts labeled this 6’7″ flamethrower as the steal of the draft and some MiLB prospect media outlets have him pegged as a breakout player for the 2023 season.
To begin his first full year of professional baseball, Milwaukee assigned him to their High-A affiliate the Carolina Mudcats. He briefly pitched their last season, but will look to get some momentum going this year. On Thursday April 13 he made his 2023 season debut and his heater was on full display has he struck out a batter with a 101 MPH pitch.

Misiorowski is known for his ability to strike batters out. At Crowder College he surpassed a record for single game strikeouts (18) that was previously held by current Brewer Aaron Ashby. He also recorded 136 strikeouts that season, which was the third most in the league.
In his debut, Misiorowski pitched just one inning. It was a clean inning that featured a strikeout that is shown in the video above. Hopefully he can have a healthy season and continue to raise his stock. As it stands today, he is the Brewers sixth ranked prospect.
