Milwaukee Brewers current manager Pat Murphy is well known for his personality. He has a way of being direct with players but also keeping the atmosphere loose and the clubhouse relaxed. Recently a player Murphy formerly coached passed on two stories regarding him.
Ex Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Rowdy Tellez passed on two hilarious Pat Murphy stories.
Rowdy Tellez, who signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates this off-season after being non-tendered by the Brewers, recently made another appearance on Foul Territory TV. He has been a regular on their show since its debut and during his latest interview he disclosed two hilarious Pat Murphy stories.
In Tellez’s first story he recalled a time that Pat Murphy accidentally drank on a plane and the Brewers went on a hot streak afterwards. Murphy decided to do his part and kept consuming alcohol to the point where prior manager Craig Counsell had to ask him to stop.

Secondly Tellez talks about a time where he had a multi home run game going. This prompted a question from Pat Murphy as to if Tellez had ever hit three in a game. Tellez responded with “no” and after Murphy fired back with, “yeah I thought so, you’re not that good.”

As manager of the Brewers Pat Murphy will be more frequently exposed to the media and there should be more stories regarding him surfacing. He should also provide entertainment on a regular basis while hopefully maintaining the culture that Milwaukee has built and exceeding the expectations that they have placed upon themselves.
