The Milwaukee Brewers are currently tasked with a weekend series against the Texas Rangers. They are coming off of a tough series in which the Los Angeles Dodgers swept them in three games and now they have to face another high powered offense. On Friday night, in the opening game, their offense provided multiple three run innings and the pitching staff just barely held on in what ended up being a 9-8 Brewers victory.

Multiple Milwaukee Brewers three run innings “just enough” for Crew to defeat the Texas Rangers.
Milwaukee struck first in this game with their first three run inning coming in the third inning. Hits from William Contreras, Mark Canha, and Willy Adames plated those runs. In the seventh inning, trailing by a score of 4-3, Carlos Santana unleashed a go-ahead three run home run. Lastly, an inning later, more RBI at-bats from William Contreras and Mark Canha made it 9-4 Milwaukee.
With a five run lead entering the ninth inning Brewers manager Craig Counsell called upon Andrew Chafin to get the final three outs of the game. Unfortunately his command faltered and the Rangers pounced on him. This led to Devin Williams entering the game with just one out in the inning and the tying run on deck. Texas closed the deficit to one run and then a loud and long fly out from Corey Seager ended the game in which Sal Frelick had to make the catch by crashing into the wall.
