The Milwaukee Brewers have had one of the better Triple-A teams during the 2023 Minor League Baseball season. The Nashville Sounds finished the first half of the 2023 season with a 40-34 record, but the Iowa Cubs, the Triple-A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, won the first-half title in the International League West.
Nashville will look to win the International League West Triple-A Title in the second half of the Minor League Baseball season. They will resume play on Wednesday, June 28, at the Memphis Redbirds, which is the St. Louis Cardinals Triple-A affiliate. Game time is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT.
Which players in the Milwaukee Brewers farm system should you keep an eye on when watching the Sounds play?
Milwaukee Brewers Farm System Report: Nashville Sounds
Keston Huira (OF, 1B)
Keston Huira is 26 years old and is playing left field and first base for the Nashville Sounds. He has been in the Majors before. Huira maybe will reach the Majors again one of these days, but he will need to continue to polish his game in Triple-A.

Sal Frelick (OF)
Sal Frelick is 23 years old and is a center fielder currently for Nashville. In the Milwaukee Brewers’ farm system, he is currently ranked as the second-best prospect in the organization. Frelick is projected to be a 2023 call-up, but we will see how he continues to progress in Triple-A.
He was a first-round pick (15th overall selection) in the 2021 MLB Draft out of Boston College. In 23 games so far this season in Triple-A, Frelick has a .244 batting average with one home run and eight RBIs, along with six stolen bases. He also has a .330 on-base percentage, which means he has a solid eye at the plate.
Robert Gasser (P)
Robert Gasser is 24 years old and is currently ranked as the seventh-best prospect in the Milwaukee Brewers organization. He is projected to reach the Majors this year but will maybe need more time to polish his pitch arsenal and command. Gasser was the 71st overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres.
He was acquired a season ago in the Josh Hader trade. Robert Gasser has pitched in 14 games and has started in 13 of them. For the Nashville Sounds, he has a 5-1 record with a 4.00 ERA. In 74.1 innings pitched, Gasser has given up 63 hits and 36 runs, along with 30 walks and 87 strikeouts. He has one complete game pitched, and his WHIP is also 1.25.
