Former Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell was introduced by the Chicago Cubs on Monday afternoon. This means that his tenure in the Windy City has officially begun. With his time as a Brewer coming to an end the teams social media page shared a thank you post that generated lots of spite towards Craig Counsell.

There are two franchises you can’t move on to as manager, Craig. And you picked one of them.

Listen, I know it’s your job so you have to post this.

Imagine thanking the guy who basically told you two years ago he didn’t want to be here, quit on the team during a postseason run, and then immediately went to your biggest rival despite spending years talking about how he was “born a Brewer” https://t.co/sUouWbJ52S

At least include the knife that he used to stab you guys in the back. Come on. https://t.co/UugA9l685p
