Milwaukee Brewers Now Betting Favorites To Win NL Central

The Milwaukee Brewers took two of three from the Cincinnati Reds this weekend. Despite entering the All-Star Break one game back of Cincinnati with a 49-42 record in 2023, they are now the betting favorites to win the NL Central.

Milwaukee on FanDuel Sportsbook has +100 odds to win the division, and the Reds have +125 odds to win the NL Central. Vegas feels like the Milwaukee Brewers will be better in the second half of the season and that the Reds will take a step backward despite their youth movement. Either way, it feels like a close race.

The other three teams in the division have long shots to win the NL Central The Chicago Cubs have +750 odds, the St. Louis Cardinals have +1800 odds, and the Pittsburgh Pirates have +6500 odds to win the NL Central, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The +100 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook are very good odds for the Milwaukee Brewers. There have been points throughout the 2023 season where they have been consistent, but winning the series against the Cincinnati Reds before the All-Star Break was huge. One of the most interesting things on their schedule is that Milwaukee will no longer play Cincinnati for the remainder of the season unless they face each other in the postseason.

The Milwaukee Brewers are tied for the third and final wild-card spot in the National League with the Philadelphia Phillies. That will be the first series for Milwaukee after the MLB All-Star Break.

It would be a surprise not to see the Milwaukee Brewers win the NL Central despite the Cincinnati Reds’ first-half story. Milwaukee missing the playoffs for the second consecutive season would come as a surprise. It is worth it to bet on the Milwaukee Brewers to win the National League Central via FanDuel Sportsbook.
