Jorge Quintana highlights this group as he is ranked as the 12th best prospect. He is a 16 year old switch hitter who makes good contact from both sides and has good gap power. His athleticism indicates that he could stick at shortstop long term.
Happy international signing period to all who observe.
The Brewers’ top player in the 2024 class is Venezuelan shortstop Jorge Quintana, a smooth-swinging switch hitting shortstop with projectable power. Here’s a look at his swing: pic.twitter.com/Koy7GxYHR1

10 spots lower in the rankings is shortstop Jesus Made. He is also a switch hitter with good gap power, but a slight upper cut to his swing has resulted in more displays of home run potential. Defensively he is still developing but is said to have a plus throwing arm with good baseball instincts.
The next-most intriguing prospect for the Brewers to sign today is Dominican Republic SS Jesus Made. Above-average runner and athlete who should stick at short. And, oh yeah, plenty of power potential. Can the hit tool be good enough? https://t.co/6mEbnaYihZ pic.twitter.com/DiyXxw6WeN
