The First Place Milwaukee Milkmen are in the “moooo” grove
The 24-15 Milkmen celebrated the weekend with fireworks, ‘Western Days’ and a pink out to help fight breast cancer and support breast cancer awareness. They also continue to win baseball games. After having attended again on Friday, I continue to be convinced that Milwaukee Milkmen games are one of the best family oriented, “adult-welcome”, best value for sports watching experiences in the entire state.

We talk about this a lot in this space but this team really has an identity as a fast base-stealing team that can pitch and defend.
For this team, every run they give up to an opponent feels like a struggle for them and every run the Milkmen scores feels ‘easy-breezy’.
Recent Game Recaps
On June 25th the Milkmen really put the hammer down on the Kane County Cougars, winning 13-6. Miguel Gomez was 4 of 5 with 2 RBI’s and 2 Runs. Leadoff hitter Bryan Torres was 2 for 5 with 2 RBI’s. First Baseman Drew Ward was a solid 1 for 3 with a walk and an important 2 RBI double. Ryan Zimmerman went five solid innings to earn the win.

On Friday June 23rd the Milkmen lost a very back-n-forth contest with Kane County 5-3. Reggie Pruitt Jr. had an awesome triple in the loss. He also has 21 stolen bases on the season.

On the defensive side, the Milkmen are second in team fielding percentage. They also are second best in terms of total team errors.
