OH WOW: Former Kansas City #Chiefs 6x Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill says he plans to enter the Hall of Fame as a Miami #Dolphins player, despite only playing there for one season.
4x First-Team All-Pro Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill in his post-practice media availability indicated that he would like to enter the hall-of-fame as a Miami Dolphin.
Hill said the following when asked if he would like to retire as a Dolphin:
“Yeah for sure obviously you know I got a lot of history down in Kansas City man shoutout to those guys down there, Andy (Reid), Brett Veach, John Dorsey, Mr. Clark (Hunt) those guys that brought me in and gave me the chance you know young kid from South Georgia who they believed in.
But I feel like here is much more special, you in a great city with a bunch of legends so being able to do something here similar to what the 70 team did would be remarkable I mean I would want to enter it here.”
What to make of Tyreek Hill’s comments

This is a classic case of grandstanding for the organization you currently play for. If Tyreek Hill were on the Kansas City Chiefs, he would have said the same thing.
This is a good training camp story where once the season starts, people will forget about these comments. Hill is right that going to Miami is more special than staying in Kansas City, because he could have chosen the easier path with KC, winning virtually every year instead, he chose the harder path competing against the Chiefs and the rest of the vaunted AFC.
This offseason Hill said he plans to play three more seasons in the NFL before retiring. That would put his retirement date in 2026 which would make him elighible for the Pro-Football Hall-Of-Fame in 2032 so we’ll be holding our collective breath for nine years to see which team Hill will retire with.
Until then, let’s see if Hill can help bring a championship back to Miami.
