The Green Bay Packers benefit from playing the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers at home in November this season. The Rams reportedly wanted to cry about it to the NFL schedule makers.
The Rams are trying to turn around their disappointing 5-12 record last season and get back to the team that won a Super Bowl in the 2021 season. Evidently, a chilly Lambeau Field is too much of an obstacle for the pampered, warm-weathered team, who plays in a dome, to overcome.
The Green Bay Packers have owned the Rams lately
In their previous three matchups, the Rams have journeyed to Green Bay to play the Packers in November or later on the schedule. All three games were wins for the Packers.
- January 16, 2021: Packers 32, Rams 18. Weather temperature at kickoff, 33 F.
- November 28, 2021: Packers 36, Rams 28. Weather temperature at kickoff, 34 F.
- December 29, 2022: Packers 24, Rams 12. Weather temperature at kickoff, 15 F.
The Los Angeles Rams want to reschedule the Packers

Two of those three games offered relatively favorable temperatures for the visiting Rams. Green Bay can certainly get well below freezing after October. Evidently, the Rams are afraid to play in those frosty conditions. According to Zach Jacobson with CBS Sports, the Rams submitted a scheduling request. The Rams wanted the early November matchup to be played in September or October. The NFL rejected the Rams’ proposal.
The Rams submitted a scheduling request to the league to have their Nov. 5 meeting with the Packers pushed to September or October.

No dice.
They’ll venture to Green Bay in potentially frigid temperatures for the fourth time in as many seasons.https://t.co/FrkrOPfQeL
That’s pretty weak from the Rams. They’ve only had to play one game in sub-freezing conditions. Their early November matchup most likely won’t be that cold for the scheduled noon start. The average temperature in Green Bay on November 5 is in the upper 40s to low 50s range.
Every team in the NFL has unfavorable elements in their schedule. The Packers will once again start their season on the road. They haven’t had a Week 1 home game since 2018. The Packers aren’t sending in rescheduling requests for Week 1. The Rams need to grow up, dress warm, and deal with the Nov. 5th date in Green Bay.
