Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton is dealing with an ankle injury and he will miss the game once again on Monday night at home against the Denver Nuggets. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on NBATV.
Entering this game, Denver has a 36-17 record so far this season and Milwaukee has a 34-19 record as well. Along with Middleton being out due to injury, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are also game-time decisions on Monday night.
Khris Middleton has missed the last two games against the Minnesota Timberwolves (2/8) and the Charlotte Hornets (2/9). They went 1-1 in that stretch without him and they are looking to win their second consecutive game on Monday night.
After the game on Friday against the Hornets, head coach Doc Rivers spoke to Eric Nehm of The Athletic and told him about the availability of Middleton coming up:
“He’s just going to be out for a minute, I can tell you that. I don’t know what a minute means, but yeah, I don’t see him in the next couple, for sure.”
On the season, Khris Middleton has played in 43 games. He is averaging 14.8 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 5.0 APG. Jae Crowder is expected to start in his place once again against the Denver Nuggets on Monday night.
Milwaukee will also have a game on Tuesday night against the Miami Heat. After that, he could return for Thursday’s action on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies, but they may just hold him out until after the NBA All-Star Break.
Khris Middleton Suffered the Ankle Injury Against the Phoenix Suns and Him Being Out Again Against the Denver Nuggets Is Huge
Middleton suffered an ankle injury last Tuesday against the Phoenix Suns. He scored six points in the first quarter of that contest before leaving the game and not returning. Khris Middleton has been more prone to injuries and missing time as of late.
They just played the Denver Nuggets on the road two weeks ago and lost that game 113-107. Middleton in that contest for the Milwaukee Bucks scored 14 points, grabbed eight rebounds, recorded three assists, and blocked one shot.
This is a game that Milwaukee can very well beat Denver because they are not playing in the high altitude. That was also the first game that Doc Rivers coached the Bucks. Also, for the Denver Nuggets, Vlatko Cancar is out tonight for Denver and Michael Porter Jr. and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope also have game-time decisions for the Nuggets against the Milwaukee Bucks.
