The Green Bay Packers revealed a troubling update for star cornerback Jaire Alexander Thursday afternoon. Alexander is battling shoulder and ankle injuries this week as the Packers prepare to play the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round.
Alexander played through the injuries against the Dallas Cowboys last week. However, he aggravated those injuries during the Packers’ win over the Cowboys. Alexander did not practice on Wednesday. Head coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday he hoped Alexander could practice Thursday.
The Green Bay Packers might be without their top cornerback
Per Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, Alexander did not practice on Thursday.
Jaire Alexander not practicing again today. AJ Dillon returned to stretch with a helmet, but not sure if he’s practicing since we only watch stretch. He’s missed the last two games with a neck injury.

LaFleur said Thursday afternoon that Alexander’s status heading into the weekend is “questionable” to play the 49ers.
It’s not a great sign Alexander was unable to practice Thursday. However, the Packers don’t need to risk him further aggravating his injuries before the Divisional Round.
