The Green Bay Packers find themselves on the outside looking in (currently) when it comes to the NFC playoff picture. Two straight losses has put the Packers’ post-season chances on life support. While winning out (against the Panthers, Vikings, and Bears) nearly guarantees a playoff spot, the way the team has played over the last two games leaves little optimism that will happen.
However, there is one former Packers quarterback who suddenly finds himself in a situation where he could make not only make the playoffs, but win his division.
Former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Signs With AFC Playoff Contender

A former Green Bay Packers quarterback signed with an AFC contender Tuesday afternoon. Tim Boyle thought he joined an AFC playoff contender when he signed with the New York Jets this offseason.
Instead, Rodgers injured his Achilles, and the Jets offense has been in free fall since. Boyle didn’t play well in his two starts this season (360 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions), so the Jets waived him in early December. But he’s getting another crack at joining a playoff team.
According to Mike Garafolo with the NFL Network, the Houston Texans signed Boyle to the practice squad after working out with the team Tuesday.
The former Packers quarterback will join an 8-6 Texans team in a three-way tie with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts for the lead in the AFC South.
