The Green Bay Packers went into the 2024 NFL Draft trying to solidify the team around their franchise quarterback. The Vikings and Bears both went into the 2024 Draft looking for their own franchise quarterback.
Minnesota took a chance on JJ McCarthy from Michigan with the 11th pick. We still have long way to go before the start of the season, however, fans aren’t wasting any time in critiquing the rookie.
Green Bay Packers And NFL Fans Troll JJ McCarthy Over Horrendous Throw
McCarthy attended the Vikings’ rookie minicamp this weekend. When one of his passes sailed right, fans took notice:

Of course, rookie minicamp doesn’t mean a whole heck of a lot when it comes to McCarthy’s ability to turn into a franchise quarterback. However, some fans couldn’t resist reacting to the throw:

According to Jorge Alonzo of BroBible:
After the practice, McCarthy said he felt pretty comfortable on the field directing the offense for the first time.

“It didn’t feel like my first day,” he said. “I’ve been going over the offense for a long time now. So being able to [go] out there and perform and execute, that’s new, but it was nothing that was overwhelming or too much.”
