Gone are the days of wondering what the future holds at the quarterback position for the Green Bay Packers. Those days left town when the franchise decided to trade Rodgers to the New York Jets last offseason. Jordan Love has seized control of the franchise and has made it clear that the team made the right call by giving him the opportunity.
While Love has come on strong for the Packers this season, most true fans still love Rodgers for the years he gave Green Bay. Rodgers has also made it clear this season that he still has a lot of love for the Packers and Love.
Rodgers saw his debut with the Jets end very prematurely with a ruptured Achilles in his first offensive possession. He was able to battle back to be cleared for action this season, but the Jets being eliminated from the playoffs ended that hope. Instead, Rodgers is focused on getting fully healthy for next season and beyond.
Former Green Bay Packers QB Wins Controversial Award
Following what has been a roller-coaster season for Rodgers, the Jets named him the winner of an award. The word “controversial” is used because it’s an award that no one has ever heard about.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, the Jets announced that Rodgers has been named as their “most inspirational player” for the 2023 season.

Granted, it has been inspirational watching Rodgers attack his rehab process. No one has ever been able to make the kind of comeback attempt that the former Green Bay Packers’ superstar made.
Despite that fact, this seems like a bit of a reach for the Jets. It seems to be a move to try to please Rodgers.
No matter what anyone’s thoughts are on the matter, Rodgers has won the award. Congratulations to him. Now, it will be interesting to see how he looks in his return to the field next season.
Most Green Bay Packers fans will certainly be rooting for him to have a healthy and successful 2024 season, as long as he isn’t playing Green Bay.
