Green Bay Packers Players to Watch For In Preseason Week 2
Sean Clifford

Sean Clifford will most likely be the backup quarterback this season to Jordan Love. If Love ever gets hurt, the Packers want to know if he will be reliable. Last week, Clifford completed 20-of-26 passes for 208 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Everything seemed solid about him except for the interceptions.
Emmanuel Wilson

Emmanuel Wilson is an undrafted rookie from Fort Valley State. With Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon locked into the one and two spots on the roster, they are looking to see who will back both of them up. Wilson is just looking for a spot on the roster.
Last week against the Bengals, he rushed for 111 yards and two TDs on six carries. Emmanuel Wilson averaged 18.5 yards per carry. We will see if he repeats the same performance this week against the New England Patriots.
Dontayvion Wicks

Green Bay is looking for depth at the wide receiver position outside of Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and rookie Jayden Reed. Rookie Dantayvion Wicks from Virginia is making a name for himself in the preseason.
Wicks caught three passes for 68 yards receiving against the Cincinnati Bengals. He averaged 22.7 yards per catch. Dantayvion Wicks is speedy and will be a nice fourth or fifth receiver on the roster.
Carrington Valentine

Carrington Valentine is a cornerback who was a seventh-round selection at 232nd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft by Green Bay. The team may have found a gem in that round out of Kentucky. He recorded four tackles and an interception. Valentine needs to have another good week within the game to make sure he can seal himself a roster spot.
