The Green Bay Packers have been heavily talked about as a possible buyer at this year’s trade deadline. With the way the Packers have struggled offensively, those “buyer” talks have mostly surrounded offensive players who could create a boost within the offense.
Now reports are surfacing that one team has made a “good offer” for him.
Denver Broncos Have Reportedly Received A “Good Offer” For Wide Receiver Jerry Jeudy
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk broke the news regarding the 24-year-old wide receiver:
The 2-5 Broncos are believed to be willing to move any of their players, if the price is right. For one specific player, an offer has been made but the price isn’t right. Yet.
Per a league source, the Broncos have a “good offer” in hand for receiver Jerry Jeudy. But the Broncos don’t like the offer that has been made for Jeudy to date.
Whether the offer improves remains to be seen. Much of it depends on what happens this weekend.
Jeudy was a first-round pick of the Broncos in 2020. He is signed through 2024; he’s due to make $12.987 million next year as his fifth-year option.
The Green Bay Packers Have Been Interested In Jerry Jeudy For A While
It has already been reported that the Packers called the Broncos about Jeudy’s availability. It is very possible the Packers are the ones who made the offer, however, that isn’t guaranteed.
The Packers have been linked to Jeudy many times before. It dates back even to last season. A wide receiver might actually be a realistic addition to the Packers’ group in 2023 (if the team is interested).
In 2024, the Broncos won’t have a second-round pick. Currently, the Packers have two second-round picks and have spent second-round picks on wide receivers in the past. Other trade compensation could make this a win-win for both parties.
