Packers veteran cornerback Rasul Douglas was one of the first players to talk up Love’s “perfect ball.” He had an excellent view of the pass as well, so you have to say that his NSFW reaction has to be warranted. This comes via team beat reporter Ryan Wood of the USA TODAY Network:
“Rasul Douglas said Jordan Love kept throwing out routes all day. Douglas almost took slant to Romeo Doubs for 6. So Love knew Douglas was cheating up when Samori Toure went on out-&-up. Toure sold the route. Love delivered.
Douglas: ‘J-Love put that mother f***er on the money,'” Wood wrote in his tweet.
Toure himself also described Love’s pass, and needless to say, the young wideout was left in awe by the quarterback’s antics:
“It was literally a perfect ball. It can’t be more perfect than that. If he throws it any more outside, it’s out of bounds. Any more inside, the safety makes a play on it. He put it in a perfect spot,” Toure said.

It’s not just Love who’s expected to have a big year ahead. To a certain extent, the expectations are also quite high for Toure, who will now be looking to step up in his sophomore season.
For his part, Rasul Douglas is all in on the Samori Toure hype train:
“I think he’s good. He’s got his confidence,” Douglas said. “He runs smooth routes. We’ve always said that. He’s got good speed, got good hands, soft hands. He’s definitely one of the receivers you’ve got to be looking at.”
Toure will be on the receiving end of more than a few passes from Jordan Love in 2023, so this could be a partnership worth keeping an eye on.
