Throughout the second half of the 2023 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers have had one of the best quarterbacks in football. Jordan Love has been absolutely dominant and has shown no signs of slowing down. Due to his impressive play, the Packers are one Week 18 win over the Chicago Bears away from making it into the playoffs as either the No. 7 or No. 6 seed in the NFC.
Matt LaFleur and company know how difficult beating the Bears is going to be this week. In order to pull off the win, the Packers need to be poised and put together a strong performance on both sides of the ball.
Love’s performance will have a big say in the matter as well. If the Packers’ quarterback can play the way he has the last few weeks, Green Bay will have a good chance to win.
Green Bay Packers’ Matt LaFleur Speaks Out On Jordan Love’s Leadership
Over the last couple of years, Aaron Rodgers’ age has actually caused an issue in the locker room. With the rest of the team getting younger, Rodgers just didn’t fit in with the players. Love has changed that in 2023.
Matt LaFleur briefly touched on how Love has simply become one of the guys. That is important to team cohesiveness.
“It’s important from that position to be one of the guys. He’s one of the guys, and these guys battle for him.”
So far this season, Love has completed 63.1 percent of his passes for 3,843 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He has also picked up 248 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
It has been clear all year long that the Packers love playing for Love. His leadership is amazing for a first-year starter. That sets the tone for a very bright and long future with Green Bay.
Hopefully, Love can lead this team to a win this weekend and into the playoffs. Even if they don’t make a playoff run, the experience itself would be very valuable for the future.
