The Green Bay Packers are getting ready for their biggest game of the season. If Green Bay is able to beat Chicago for the 10th time in a row, they’ll be playoff bound. Green Bay is coming off two consecutive wins against the Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings.

The Green Bay Packers Add Tight End Luke Musgrave To The Active Roster For Their Matchup Against The Chicago Bears
On Saturday, the Green Bay Packers activated tight end Luke Musgrave from injured reserve just in time for the biggest game of the season.
Musgrave will return to action against the Chicago Bears on Sunday after missing six games with a lacerated kidney.
Due to the addition of Musgrave and running back Emanuel Wilson, the Packers placed safety Rudy Ford on injured reserve, while cornerback David Long was released. On Friday, Ford was ruled out due to a hamstring injury.
What Will Musgrave Bring Back To The Packers Offense?
Musgrave appeared on track to break Sharpe’s rookie receptions record prior to his injury. At the time of his injury, he was on pace to finish the year with 58 receptions.
Despite not being able to reach Sharpe this year, Musgrave could still make Packers history. Only one reception stands between him and Bubba Franks’ 2000 rookie record for tight ends.
It’s interesting to note that Tucker Kraft has seen his usage in the passing game increase as a result of Musgrave’s absence. Kraft now has 28 receptions, five short of Franks’ record.
Against Minnesota, Kraft had a career-high six receptions. It is theoretically possible that both of Green Bay’s rookie tight ends could break the record on Sunday.
The Packers should have two young and talented tight ends at their disposal for their Week 18 matchup against Chicago.
