The Green Bay Packers may have yet another one of their former players suiting up for an NFC rival in 2024. The Packers have been particular about who they’re going to keep on their roster over the last few seasons. That has included moving on from multiple veterans.
Former Green Bay Packers Long-Time Starter Reportedly Works Out For NFC Rival
Lucas Patrick, a free agent interior lineman who spent last season with the Bears, has been under consideration by the Seattle Seahawks, according to Aaron Wilson.
Patrick (6-foot-3, 313 pounds) played college football at Duke. Although he did not get drafted, he has played in 96 games at this level. That includes five years in Green Bay and two in Chicago.

Over four seasons, Patrick made 21 starts as a guard for the Green Bay Packers. Following the departure of Corey Linsley in free agency in 2020, Patrick moved to center.
Patrick has played for the Chicago Bears for the past two seasons, starting 20 games and appearing in 23 games. The toe injury he suffered in 2022 ended his season after just seven games, but he played in 16 games last season at center.
If Seattle chooses to sign Patrick, he will be a versatile option with extensive playing time at both guard spots and two seasons at center. However, the 30-year-old has consistently graded poorly on Pro Football Focus, and in 2023 he was the most penalized center in the league.
It will be interesting to see if Patrick gets another deal in this league.
