The San Francisco 49ers proved to be too much to handle for the Green Bay Packers as they eliminated Jordan Love and company from Super Bowl contention last Saturday in Santa Clara. And one of the most memorable moments in that game is also considered by many Niners fans as among the most stressful in the 2023 NFL regular season.
Green Bay Packers’ Comeback Attempt vs. 49ers Squashed By Dre Greenlaw Interception
With the Packers still looking to pull off a miraculous comeback late in the game, Niners linebacker Dre Greenlaw stepped up and made a huge defensive play by intercepting a Jordan Love pass. However, he put head coach Kyle Shanahan and countless 49ers fans on the edge of their seats when he refused to go down right away and let the clock run out, as he sprinted downfield for 12 more seconds.

“That was kind of like the whole day — all the guys that I would get really upset with are also the ones I have a lot of love for,” a relieved Shanahan said afterward. “They’re the ones who pulled it off to get a W.”
In the end, the Niners came away with a 24-21 victory and punched their tickets to the NFC championship game against Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions.
As for the Packers, an interesting offseason is ahead of the team that exceeded expectations in 2023.
