The Green Bay Packers fell short of their ultimate goal of playing in and winning the Super Bowl by losing to the Philadelphia Eagles on Wild Card weekend 22-10. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing end to a season that saw Green Bay struggle mightily against teams with a better record than them. Indeed, they finished 0-6 against the Eagles, Detroit Lions, and Minnesota Vikings, and went just 1-5 against the NFC North.
In addition to this frustration, Lions players and fans have started to act like they have been dominant for years instead of just the last two seasons. A great deal of trash talk has been sent the Packers’ way from Detroit, and one Green Bay player sent some back following the Lions’ loss to the Washington Commanders over the weekend.
Green Bay Packers Cornerback Keisean Nixon Sends a Hilarious Message to Detroit Lions Players
As fans, players, and coaches like to say, the regular season goes out the window when the NFL Playoffs begin. Despite being 15-2 and cruising through much of the season, the Lions lost their first and only game of the postseason 45-31 to the Commanders.
While the Packers also went home early, that did not stop Keisean Nixon from sending back a little trash talk to Detroit following their defeat:
Somebody tell them boys in Detroit I got a extra room at the villa in Cabo😂

The reference Nixon made, of course, is the popular insult that players that are sent home early from the postseason take off for Mexico on vacation shortly after.
Of course, there is some self-depreciating humor in this as he admitted that he, and Green Bay, disappointed by not advancing themselves. However, at the end of the day, the Packers and Lions are in the same boat: watching the rest of the postseason from their homes or vacation destinations.
