The Green Bay Packers were quickly eliminated from the NFL Playoffs with their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Wild Card weekend. Over the course of the regular season, Green Bay found that its formula for winning games was to stick to the run game by feeding Josh Jacobs and playing smart football.
However, the Packers committed four turnovers and only ran the ball 25 times. The result, of course, was their 22-10 loss.
The fact of the matter is that every NFL team knows what it needs to do in order to win. The ones that actually advance are the ones that stick to what has made them successful and do not turn the ball over.
Green Bay Packers Legend Mike Daniels Calls Out the Baltimore Ravens Following Their Loss to the Buffalo Bills

Last night, the Baltimore Ravens fell to the Buffalo Bills in a highly anticipated matchup between teams led by the two favorites to win NFL MVP this year: Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen. Buffalo came out on top 27-25 following Ravens tight end Mark Andrews dropping what would have been a game-tying two-point conversion.
However, former Packers great Mike Daniels does not believe that Andrews should shoulder all the blame for the loss. Rather, he openly called out Baltimore on social media for abandoning the style of play that got them into the NFL Playoffs in the first place:
Second year in a row the Ravens don’t commit to the run after being a Top 5 run team in the NFL (#1 last year)
Why…..?
— Mike Daniels (@Mike_Daniels76) January 20, 2025
The Ravens led the NFL in rushing yards per game this season with 187.6 per game. They also averaged 32.5 rushing attempts per contest.
And while they did have 30 rushing attempts against Buffalo, All-Pro running back Derrick Henry only had 16 carries. One would have thought that, given the snowy and wet conditions, he would have received a great deal more.
This is likely what Daniels is referring to in his post about abandoning the run. Henry carried the ball 325 times for 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns during the regular season while averaging 5.9 yards per carry.
And like the Packers, the Ravens lost the turnover battle. Jackson committed two turnovers in the first half and Andrews had a costly fumble before dropping the two-point conversion.
Next season, hopefully, Green Bay will learn to ride with what makes them successful instead of playing recklessly against top-tier opponents.
