The Green Bay Packers are 2-2 after losing to the Detroit Lions 34-20 on Thursday night. It was the fourth consecutive game that Green Bay has lost to Detroit.

Obviously, the Packers lost because their players were outmatched and outplayed by the Lions. As is the case any time a player or team struggles, fans took to social media to voice their frustration with the players. It is not often that players clap back at negative comments regarding their play or their team, but Packers’ All-Pro kick returner Keisean Nixon took exception to some things that fans have been saying about Green Bay players since Thursday.
Keisean Nixon Claps Back at Critical Green Bay Packers Fans

It is common for fans of every fan base to be critical of a player or team’s play throughout the course of a game or season. However, it is incredibly uncommon for that criticism to come from a person who could do a better job than the player they are criticizing. This is what Nixon pointed out when he posted the following on Twitter (X):
Y’all so funny on twitter. All y’all do is criticize Us Instead Of Lifting Us Up… none of y’all can play on sundays not even in a rec league #K9

Unfortunately, Nixon is speaking the truth when it comes to the failure of fans to build up the team when they need building up. And he is certainly correct about the inability of most fans to be able to play in the NFL.
Nixon doubled down on his comment:
There’s Only 1,696 players In This League For A Reason. Top Of The Top Athletes Your Opinions Are Irrelevant.

The Packers are a young team; they will make mistakes throughout the course of the season. While they expect to compete, there will also be a great deal of learning experiences and growth that needs to happen.
Fans can choose to ride the waves with the teams through the difficulties of the season or they can build them up. This is not to say fans cannot be frustrated with poor play; but rather, fans also need to recognize that every single player on the Packers’ roster is doing something that the fans can’t: play in the NFL.
Sometimes, it is good to remember how hard of a job the players have.
