The Green Bay Packers defeated the New Orleans Saints 18-17 on Sunday following a remarkable fourth quarter performance by starting quarterback Jordan Love. The Green Bay offense, which had been shutout in the first three quarters of the game, marched down the field three times to score in the game’s final period.
The first scoring drive resulted in an Anders Carlson field goal, while the other two were both 80-yard scoring drives that saw Love do everything he needed to ensure victory for the Packers.
Love scored the Packers’ first touchdown of the game by juking the shoes off of Saints All-Pro linebacker Demario Davis, on fourth down, and then dove into the end zone.

What followed after Love’s impressive touchdown scramble was a two-point conversion throw to second-year wide receiver Samori Toure that left many speechless.
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love Draws Comparisons to Patrick Mahomes
The throw itself on the two-point conversion may have been the turning point in the game. Had the Packers’ failed to convert, they would have needed a touchdown and a two-point conversion just to tie the game. Instead, converting early allowed them to take the lead with Love’s touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs later in the game.
There was a great deal that went wrong quickly, as Matt LaFleur explain later. But Love was able to take what he was given and made an incredible throw, one that former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky compared to one Patrick Mahomes would make:

“I don’t care who you are. I don’t care how long you played. This is a sick play. That’s pretty remarkable. I don’t even know how he sees him.”
It may be easy to chalk this up to sitting behind Aaron Rodgers for three years, as Rodgers was known to find the exact sliver in a defense that he could fit a ball through without consequence. But it is one thing to learn such a throw; it’s an entirely different thing to execute it.
