Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers got out coached and outplayed at home on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Baker Mayfield put on an absolute clinic at Lambeau Field finishing 22 of 28 for 381 yards and four touchdowns, with no interceptions. Mayfield played one of his best games in his career.
Love finished 29 of 39 for 284 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. A solid performance from a still-growing quarterback. Following the loss, Love spoke on what he sees going forward with this team.
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love Comments On The Mindset Of This Team Moving Forward After Brutal Loss To The Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Per Lily Zhao of Fox 6:
Jordan Love talking about the ups and downs of the season.
Even in a slide now, said “no one is quitting.
Guys are finding ways to battle.” “It’s all about how we finish the season right now.”
How the Packers prepare for the final stretch of the season against the Carolina Panthers, Minnesota Vikings, and Chicago Bears will say a lot about the future of this team. It is clear the team has rallied around Love all season (that actually started before the season). However, fighting back from adversity is what sets up future success.
“Giving up” or “looking to next year” is not the mindset of this team.
The Packers are in a Wild Card race with two NFC South teams, the Rams, Seahawks, and possibly the Vikings. While their playoff hopes took a hit today, they are certainly not out of the discussion.

To me, it is like a bad dream when I think about what’s in the cards with the Packers. Murphy is leaving, retiring. And, I suspect Gutekunst will be promoted to that vacancy. This means LaFluer and the failed Head Coach office will continue. Again, the axiom plays out, “a leader is only as good as the weakest member”. And, that’s pretty damn weak! Deadwood Barry is a symptom to a big, big problem with LaFluer as HC. He is scared of losing his job to a better play caller. But, I think the cards have dealt with no shuffling.
