The Green Bay Packers certainly took care of business against the Minnesota Vikings. A fourth quarter touchdown by the Minnesota Vikings made the game seem closer than it actually was (and the final was 33-10).
Young weapons have been stepping up all season long for the Packers’ offense. Bo Melton, a former un-drafted free agent, became the team’s first 100-yard receiver in a single game this season on Sunday. Now the Packers are being pegged to land another young weapon for Jordan Love.
The Green Bay Packers Expected To Target A Massive Weapon For Jordan Love After Win Against The Minnesota Vikings
Ross Uglem highlighted what the addition of Johnny Wilson could do for this Packers’ offense:
The offense isn’t ignored, either. Jordan Morgan is a Packers type, Johnny Wilson gives the WR corps the power forward body type it lacks now (he’d play the same role as Heath, but he’s way bigger, and Heath is a mid-4.6 guy).
Wilson Could Be A Big (Literally) Option For The Packers’ Offense
Wilson is a literal power forward playing wide receiver. At the catch point, he has excellent body control for a player of his stature and adjusts well to the football. He can put defenders on a poster down the field.
The strength of his hands makes him incredibly difficult to bump out of prime space on targets down the field.
His ability to run through soft press, and his emergence as a chunk play receiver, has given him a chance to shine down the field as a chunk play receiver. You can see him pressing vertically in the Florida State offense, and corners will respect his ability to break off into his routes through soft press.
You’re going to have a tough time pressing him at the line of scrimmage; his stature does not make it easy to play in his face. Therefore, he gets out onto his routes on time and consistently.

The Packers are absolutely loaded with talented, young receivers right now: Watson, Reed, Wicks, Doubs, and now Melton. They are not going to draft a receiver in the first 4 rounds, they have too many other needs.
