The Green Bay Packers have a great many questions that they need answered this offseason. After their 22-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round, it was apparent that getting young at virtually every position on the field is not an ideal way to win big football games. The Packers were 0-6 against the Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, and Detroit Lions in 2024 and just 1-5 against the NFC North.
Simply put, they need to get better.
They also need to get healthy.
Of note, Jaire Alexander was lost for what turned out to be the season after he hurt his knee in Week Eight. It was later revealed that he had a torn PCL. While he tried to rehab his knee without surgery, it simply was not getting better. Green Bay decided to place him on injured reserve as the decision was made for him to get season-ending surgery.
Jaire Alexander Is Not Sure if He Will Be Back with the Green Bay Packers in 2025
Not only was Alexander’s season ended by the surgery, it sounds like his tenure in Green Bay is over as well. As the players were back at Lambeau Field to clean out their lockers, many took questions from reporters.
Alexander, however, refused to speak:
When Jaire Alexander was asked to speak with the media at locker room cleanout, he declined, saying he doesn’t even know if he is going to be here next year.
Said he didn’t have anything good to say so definitely wasn’t going to talk.

As one can see from Kelly Hallinan’s post, not only did Alexander refuse to speak to the media, he told them that he was not even sure if he would return in 2025 and that he certainly did not have anything good to say.
Green Bay Packers Fans Drag Jaire Alexander on Social Media
Needless to say, Packers fans were already frustrated with Alexander over his behavior in 2023, which resulted in his getting a one-game suspension from the team. Others were frustrated with his inability to stay healthy as he has now had three of his last four seasons cut short.
When news of what the two-time Pro Bowl cornerback had said hit social media, well, fans were not happy:
Pathetic. Be professional https://t.co/LtGeNLFWFf

Guy was, is and will always be just talk https://t.co/VQI5Mfsk4y

If this is the end of Alexander’s tenure with the Packers, it sure will be disappointing. Not only did Green Bay make him a first round pick, but they also made him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL for a while.
Fans and reporters may never know exactly what went on behind closed doors to make Alexander so bitter, but it is hard to see the two sides reconciling this summer.
