The Green Bay Packers have been in the news heavy when it comes to star defensive back Jaire Alexander in recent weeks. He was suspended for the Week 17 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings due to multiple reasons, with one being that he forced his way onto the field as a captain in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers. It was a strange situation, but now fans are hoping to have him back for Week 18 against the Chicago Bears.
Alexander has been a massive piece for the Packers’ defense for years. He has also been one of the most dangerous defensive backs in the NFL during his career.
No one knows what the future holds for Alexander with the Packers. Some believe the franchise could look to trade him due to the drama surrounding him. That doesn’t seem likely, especially with how much he means to the defense.
Aaron Rodgers Doesn’t Hold Back On Green Bay Packers’ Jaire Alexander
As has been the case throughout the 2023 NFL season, Rodgers has not been scared to talk about the Packers. He has also been very vocal about the love that he has for the franchise and Jordan Love.
In a recent quote on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers did not hold back his opinion of Jaire Alexander.

Clearly, Rodgers is still a huge fan of his former teammate. He also knows how important Alexander is to the team.
So far this season, Alexander has struggled to stay on the field. He has been dealing with nagging injuries all year long and then had the suspension last week.
In the six games that Alexander has played this season, he has compiled 25 total tackles to go along with a forced fumble and four defended passes. Those numbers are nowhere close to the kind of production that the Packers have become used to seeing from their star cornerback.
Expect to see Alexander back on the field this week against the Bears. If Aaron Rodgers has his way, the Packers will pull off a dominant win and Alexander will put together the best game of his season.
