The Milwaukee Brewers have been without starting pitcher DL Hall since April 21. He was placed on the injured list after injuring his knee. Hall is getting healthier and closer to returning to the big leagues as the team recently announced the date of his first rehab assignment.
DL Hall was struggling prior to being placed on the injured list.
25 year old DL Hall had been struggling leading up to injuring his knee as he had a 7.71 ERA across four starts and his velocity was down a few ticks. He was finding himself unable to put batters away and more often then not opposing hitters were capitalizing on mistake pitches. Across his first 16.1 innings pitched the batting average against him was .380 and he had a 2.27 WHIP.
Milwaukee Brewers media reported that DL Hall was up to 95 MPH during a recent bullpen session.
Multiple members of Brewers media reported that a recent bullpen session from DL Hall consisted of 35 pitches thrown and his velocity reaching 95 MPH. His fastball average this year during game action has been just 92 MPH. Last year, as a reliever, his fastball average was 96 MPH.
DL Hall will make a rehab assignment appearance for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
On Sunday, May 19 DL Hall will pitch in a rehab assignment for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Chris Mehring reported that Hall will start this game. It is currently unknown as to what his pitch count will be or if he has an innings cap.
